Chapter 15
I rested in bed again after I woke up. My door was open. I always kept it closed so someone must have opened it. I could see the entry way and Kelly’s bedroom door. I kept resting and then I got out of bed. I changed my diaper and went downstairs. I had breakfast and put the bowl in the sink. Whimper was still in Skippy’s cage. I let him outside in the backyard. I took the diaper off him and he ran around in the backyard. I sat down and watched TV. Then I heard Skippy whimpering by the door so I let him out too and kept watching Nickelodeon. I forgot about the dogs and then Mom was up in her bathrobe. Her hair was a mess. She asked me where the dogs were. “Outside,” I said. “Did you put Skippy on the leash?” “No,” I said. Then I remembered he was supposed to be tied up outside from now on. Mom looked outside and said “he took off but Whimper is digging in the sandbox.”
Soon Dad was up too and he asked where Skippy was. “Natalie let him outside but she didn’t tie him up,” said Mom. Dad then started to yell at me. “Natalia, what did I say about the dog needing to be tied up when he is outside?” “I forgot,” I said. “If I have to get him from the dog kennel, that money is coming out of your Christmas money.” I got scared. I hoped he wouldn’t be picked up by the county. Now I wished I had remembered to tie him up outside. Mom brought in Whimper and she set him down on the floor. “Put a diaper on him, I don’t want him peeing all over,” Dad ordered. Mom got out a diaper and put it on Whimper. He then walked around and then he tried biting at his diaper. He was whimpering. “I don’t think he likes it on him,” I said. “Too bad, he is wearing it or he stays outside chained up,” said Dad. Whimper left the family room and I kept watching TV. Then I decided to head upstairs to play some video games but when I got to my bedroom, I noticed one of the game cartridges was wet. I picked it up and wondered how it got wet and the wet spot on the floor was dark so I put my fingers on it and pressed it and put it to my face and it smelled terrible. I realized it was dog piss. I screamed and tossed the cartridge on the floor. Mom went running up the stairs asking me what was going on and why am I screaming. I pointed to the wet spot and said “he peed in my room again and on my game.” “Whoa whoa whoa calm down, I will clean it up and I am sure you can get that game replaced, how often do you play it?” “I don’t know,” I shouted The game was ruined. I knew it was wrecked because it had been peed on. “Can it be dried and cleaned up?” Mom asked. “You can’t wash video games or it will ruin them. Are you stupid?” Mom didn’t answer to my insult and just ignored it so I figured she didn’t care. “I am sure it can be wiped clean with rubbing alcohol and wiped with a damp cloth,” she said. She left and came back while I was sitting in the chair crying. Mom put a towel on the wet spot and then sprayed the spot again with carpet cleaned and then she grabbed my game cartridge and dried it with a dry towel and then she was spraying it with another chemical and wiping it. Then she told me to try the game. I put it in the system and nothing showed. I tried it again and noting showed. “He wrecked it,” I said. “Sorry,” said Mom. “You should keep your door closed.” “I did have it closed and someone opened it in my sleep.” “You maybe sleep opened it because no one would come in your room at night.” I knew I didn’t open my door and someone did and it sure wasn’t me or Mom. Maybe it was Dad who came and checked up on me and he forgot to close it because why would he close it if Whimper was locked in his cage? Kelly and Matthew wouldn’t have come in my room because they would have no reason to so that left my father. Parents always check on their kids. I was mad at Dad for leaving my door opened. I played a different game instead but I couldn’t keep my mind off Whimper. I hated that animal again. First my game controller and now my game. At least he didn’t ruin any of the Mario games. When I heard Dad’s voice downstairs, I ran after him saying “Why did you leave my door open?” “What are you talking about, I wasn’t in your room,” he said. “You were at night and you left my door opened,” I yelled. “I did not go in your room,” Dad shouted. “Maybe you left it open and forgot to close it.” “No I closed it, it was closed when I was in bed.” “Maybe you didn’t close it tight enough and not all our doors always closed because they get stuck and you gotta make sure it closed and it can’t be pushed open. Doesn’t he have a nappy on anyway?” “He ripped it off, I found the pieces in Matthew’s bedroom,” said Mom. “Oh god, keep him locked up or potty train him, I don’t need this whole house smelling like piss or I will get rid of that animal once it starts to smell,” Dad threatened.
Whimper stayed in his cage for the rest of the day or outside. I was so glad. But I didn’t eat my whole dinner because I didn’t want to give myself too much calories. I wanted to lose more weight to look like the bodies in the magazine and have a good body as Natalya. No more squishy skin or skin I can pull or squeeze and thighs won’t look so big anymore and my skin will look tight again like it used to when I was little but too bad stretch marks never go away. I remember when I first saw some on my breasts in 6th grade and my mom said those were stretch marks from the skin stretching when my boobs grew and I remember asking her if they go away and she said no and they only faded and turn into white lines, the same color of my skin and they look like lines. Then she showed me hers on her belly she got from pregnancy. That explained the tiger stripes and why her skin always looked like it had been chopped up like she had tiny canyons in her skin and why her skin looked broken sometimes. I would rather adopt than get pregnant so I won’t get fat and ruin my body and get more stretch marks. I would hate to have to work out all the time just to lose weight. Also I don’t want to go through all that pain of having a baby or even be cut open. Mom let Whimper out of his cage again to go outside and she brought him inside. Skippy had come back again and we locked him inside our house for the night. Mom and Dad were worried he would be hit by a car if he is in the street or that coyotes could attack him. I noticed pieces of the baby diaper in the cage. “Uh oh, he ripped his diaper off,” I said. “Oh god,” said Dad. “I’ll clean it up,” said Mom. “That plan sure worked,” Dad said again. I played more video games in the den and then I decided to set my player to COM so the game would play my character for me and I started to do some work outs. First I did some sit ups and it was so boring but I had to make myself do them so I could burn calories quicker and try and make my belly flat. Since I can’t go for a walk until Friday, I would have to do work outs at home. I felt my muscles getting sore in my legs but I made myself keep going. I had to burn the calories and then burn the body fat. From now on I was going to make myself do work outs at home so I could burn calories faster and eat less food to speed up my weight loss so I could burn more of my fat quickly and have a thinner body and smaller thighs. I decided that would be my New Years Resolution. Get rid of my big legs and look skinny like the models in the magazine and celebrities. 130 pounds was not enough for me to look good but I bet 115 would so that was my goal. I also tried making myself do pushups but I could never do those so I did them my own way by having my knees on the floor and pushing myself up and down. I could feel the muscles burning in my body. It made me feel so good. I was going to defeat my own body to get what I want. At least that will be something I can have control over.

Chapter 16
I woke up the next morning in my bed. Right away I started to think about what I should eat for breakfast and what work outs I should do today and how long I should do them for. I noticed my bedroom door was open again so I got out of bed and closed it. I decided if it popped open again I will put something in front of the door to hold it closed and then I will see if it moves too. Then I noticed another pee spot on the floor but this time it was right by my dresser. I opened my bedroom door again and slammed it in anger screaming “Damn it who in the fucking hell let the dog out of his cage?” That got me attention alright because Mom heard me and said she had let him out and was playing with him and then she went to make coffee and he took off. “He peed in my room again, keep him in his cage every time you can’t watch him,” I yelled. “You should have kept your door closed,” said Mom. “I did have it closed and someone opened it again. I am going to put something in front of the door next time it happens again.” “That would be a fire hazard so please don’t do that.” “Then stop letting him out of his cage and I won’t or stay out of my room if you can’t shut my door. God are you retarded?” That earned me a slap across the face. That made my face turn the other way from the slap and it stung. Mom acted like nothing had happened because she still had her normal look on her face. She walked away. I went in the bathroom and used a hand towel to wipe up the mess. And I used water. I was so mad at Whimper. Why was he pissing in my room? Why couldn’t he do it in other rooms besides mine? Bad stuff always happens to me but this time I was being targeted by an animal. How did he even know I was different? Mom never came back so I guess she expected me to clean it up myself. I changed my diaper and closed my door again and headed downstairs. Whimper was in his cage again. I went over to him and kicked his cage hard and pounded my fists on it and flipped him off. “Fuck you,” I said to him. “I hate you, why can’t you go in my brother’s bedroom or my sister’s or my parents? Why me?” I kicked at the caged door. Whimper said nothing as if he didn’t care. Instead he only whimpered like he always did so it meant nothing. Skippy noticed me and he seemed to have a weird look on his face. He was also standing still. I had never seen him act that way because he usually wags his tail or moves smoothly and he jumps and pants and runs around in a circle and sometimes puts his paws up on the countertops when he gets happy and can’t wait for his food or when he tries to get something off the counter. But we always scold him to get down. I got myself a small bowl of cereal and I tried to pour little milk as possible so there wouldn’t be any extra after I eat all my cereal. I ate it quickly and stuck it in the sink. I played Nintendo 64 again in the den. I heard someone else in the kitchen but I ignored it. I figured it was either Mom or Kelly or Matthew. I pooped in my diaper while I was playing GoldenEye. I wondered how Allie was doing with her diapers. I couldn’t wait for school to start again. By then her diaper treatment would be over. Then the den door opened and it was Matthew. “Why did you call our mom a retard?” “I didn’t, I asked if she was retarded because she couldn’t understand she should keep my bedroom door closed because Whimper had peed in there again and she didn’t put him back in his cage when she couldn’t watch him,” I said. “You’re mean,” he said. “Leave me alone,” I shouted. “You’re mean,” he said again. I paused the game and got up but Matthew ran out and I shut the door. I hate it when people don’t understand what other people did. Why must they be so stupid? I went back to playing. Soon I took a break and Kelly saw me and said to me. “I heard you call our mom retarded,” she said. “So,” I said. I was ready for her to put me down and not listen to me but instead she asked me “why did you?” “She didn’t put Whimper back in his cage when she couldn’t watch him and she left my bedroom door open so he peed in there.” “Cool. You finally learned how to use the word. Good job, give me a high five.” I gave her a high five and I felt better. Kelly went upstairs and then she came back out handing me a five-dollar bill. “This is for understanding the word finally. I’ll give you a dollar every time you use the word correctly.” “Retarded retarded retarded,” I said. “Not like that,” said Kelly. “Just how you used it with Mom.” “She must be going around telling everyone I said it to her,” I said. “No Matthew told me, now you are a mean sister.” “But she kept my bedroom door opened and couldn’t understand it and she didn’t know to-“ “No that was what he told me,” Kelly interrupted. “Oh.” I put my five dollar bill in my room with the rest of my money. Now I had one hundred and fifty five dollars. I could earn more money with the word and I would have even more spending money and I could get stuff I want like those cool keychains from Hot Topic or from any store that carries them. I was going to try and use that word as much as possible but without Mom and Dad around because they don’t like the word. I started to do some work outs in my room. I decided to do them for ten minutes so I was doing sit ups and moving my legs up and down. I tried doing push ups but it was hard. They always hurt my knees whenever I had to do them on the ground but my bedroom was carpeted. I was hoping for a perfect body in no time by the end of the year if I do this every day. While I was doing leg ups, my bedroom door opened and Mom came in. I kept on doing my leg ups. I was on my side and I was lifting my left leg in the air and moving it up and down. Mom didn’t close my door again. “You forgot to close my door again,” I said. “He’s in his cage,” she said. “You really hurt me.” “Good, you will know next time to keep him in his cage and to keep my door closed,” I said. “I did not open your door, I didn’t even come in here last night.” Mom then looked at my door knob and turned it and closed the door and then opened it saying “This doesn’t latch” and she closed it and pulled it open and then she closed it hard and then pulled on the door knob and the door didn’t pull open this time. “See, you need to make sure it actually closes because this thing here” she pointed it tapping it, “doesn’t always come out and lock in place to hold the door closed. Did I just solve the mystery?” she asked. “You still need to keep him in his cage when you can’t watch him,” I said. “Natalie I made a mistake okay, that’s it. Haven’t you ever forgotten? Are you perfect? Didn’t you leave your controller at Allie’s house one day or your back pack and you got very upset?” “Yes,” I said. “So you shouldn’t get mad at me for forgetting to put Whimper in his cage and Kelly left the laundry room door open yesterday and you forgot to tie Skippy up. Everybody forgets. Did you see either of us call each other retarded?” “No.” “There you go, it was very uncalled for.” “Sorry.” “It really hurt and I don’t know if you even realize that.” “I was called that all the time so I’m used to it and kids use it anyway so it doesn’t bother me much anymore,” I said. “Just because everyone else uses it and it doesn’t bother you much doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt someone. Why did you use it?” “I was mad because he peed in my room again and my door was open and then you said you had him out of his cage.” “I’m sorry that happened. I see you cleaned it up.” “You wanted me to,” I said. “I was too upset and the moment you said it I felt pain in my heart because it came out of my own daughter’s mouth calling me that so I slapped you. I’m sorry I did that. I shouldn’t have done it.” I kept staring at the knobs on my dresser. Mom got up and left. I went back to my little workouts and I could feel the muscles working in my body. When I got done I left my room again and Whimper was out of his cage running around. “What is he doing out of his cage?” I asked. “It is not right leaving him in there all the time and I just had him outside,” said Mom. “But Dad will get mad when he sees it,” I said. “He will be back in there before he is home.” Whimper was walking around the family room whimpering. Then he went upstairs and I followed him. My door was closed but Whimper went up to it and started to claw at it with his paws and then he was pressing himself against the door. I had it closed tight this time and made sure the knob latched it shut. Whimper kept slamming his body against it and I couldn’t help but laugh. He looked so stupid trying to get in my room and it was so funny he was trying to push the door open. “Ha ha you can’t get in my room, you are going to have to go pee somewhere else,” I said. He started to Whimper and he stared at the door. I picked him up and put him outside on the deck. “He tried to go in my room again,” I shouted to Mom. Whimper just walked around the yard and then he was sitting by the door again and Mom told us to let Whimper back inside so Matthew did. I hope he had peed outside this time. He ran back up the stairs and I followed him again and he pressed his paws against my door and pushed it with his body and then he turned and lift his right leg up at the door. What was he doing? Then I heard a hissing sound and liquid hitting the wood. “He is peeing on my door,” I yelled. Mom rushed in the hallway and up the stairs. He was done by the time she got to him and she picked him up. “He did it on purpose,” I said. “I saw it.” “He is just a puppy,” she said. “But he did it on purpose so it was no accident and he was just outside and he went to my door right away when he came inside,” I said. “Take him while I clean it up,” she said handing me him. I carried him down the stairs and I was so upset with him I squeezed my arms close to me and he started to whimper loudly. I relaxed my arms and he stopped whimpering. “What is wrong with him?” Mom asked. “Nothing, I just held him too hard,” I said. I put him in the cage and decided he will either live in there or outside. There was something wrong with this animal. Mom cleaned up the mess and she came back down with the rags and tossed them in the laundry room. “You need to be careful when you hold Whimper because you were hurting him,” she said. “Where is he?” “In the cage,” I said. “Get him out of there.” “But he just peed,” I said. “So, let him out and he isn’t going to go again if he just went.” “He will go again later,” I pointed out. “I will take him outside later again,” said Mom. I let him out and I went in the den and played Goldeneye again. Skippy was kept inside all day and he kept barking and howling and whenever he was taken outside he had to be on a leash for him to go potty. Then he would be waiting at the door again. I saw Mom take Whimper out again and she squeezed her body out the door so Skippy wouldn’t run out. Then she came back and this time Skippy ran into her nearly knocked her down and he ran down the porch and out of our yard. We saw how he got out of our yard. He climbed up on the bin where we put leaves and cut grass and jumped onto my old playhouse and went over the fence into the other yard. “Whoa,” said Matthew. We could see him in the neighbor’s yard and then he was at their gate and he stood on his two back legs and got the gate open and went back on all fours again and left. I bet they have been wondering how the gate has been getting opened and pretty soon they might nail it shut. Then Skippy wouldn’t be able to get out anymore and would be stuck in their yard. “He will be back,” said Mom. “I’m going outside to play,” said Matthew. “Stay in the neighborhood,” said Mom. Matthew got his shoes on and left with his coat. I bet he was going after him again. For lunch I only had a granola bar and that was my lunch. Mom worked in the living room and some people stopped by and looked at her drawings and paintings. I saw them leave with a picture and more stopped by and left. I found another pee spot at my bedroom door and I told Mom about it. “Why can’t you clean it up, it’s your room,” said Mom. “I shouldn’t have to do it every time.” “I didn’t choose to get this dog,” I said. “I shouldn’t have to clean it every time he pees in my room or right by it. Keep him in the cage or outside until he starts going outside,” I said. “Natalie, you have done worst stuff as a kid and I didn’t throw you outside or keep you locked in your room,” said Mom. “You did when I was seven,” I pointed out. “Not all the time and we only did it when you got aggressive.” “But he keeps peeing in my room,” I said. “I swear that dog is out to get me and he only does it when he is in the house because he holds it when he is outside because he comes straight up here once he gets inside.” “Dogs do that,” said Mom. “He isn’t doing it because he wants to get you upset, dogs sometimes pick random rooms to go in and he picked yours.” “So keep him locked up until he is trained,” I shouted. “Maybe we should have kept you locked up until you learned how to behave,” said Mom. “How was anything I did any worse?” I shouted. “I never peed in random spots did I?” “When you were three, you thought it would be a great idea to grab all the VHS tapes in this house and pull the film out of them and you were laying in the pile and when Kelly was an infant, you thought you could muffle her crying by sticking a pillow over her face and when you were that same age, you grabbed a magic marker and drew a line on every wall in every room in this house and you also decided to put clothes in each toilet and another time you put random stuff in them and flushed it down and you caused one of them to back up wrecking the floor and making everything wet under the house. We couldn’t even afford the repairs so my parents had to help pay for the damage you caused.” “Why did I do all those things?” I asked. “I don’t know, you were a kid so you were impulsive so they thought you had ADHD. Up until Junior High we couldn’t even tell you what not to do or else you would do it. But then whenever we told you the reason why, you would still do it just to see what would happen. Oh there was a time when you nearly crashed your dad’s car into our neighbor’s home because you thought it would be funny to release the break and let the car roll out of the garage and there was another time when you drove one of our cars into a ditch because you released the emergency break, so your father had to call a tow truck to pull it out. You even pushed a teacher down the stairs.” “That was an accident,” I said. “But you pushed her pretty hard and what about the things you have done to Veronica and breaking the school window?” “That was an accident too and she was bothering me and wouldn’t leave me alone.” “But we didn’t lock you in your room for all of it. What do you think would have happened or what your life would have been like if you lived in your room and never let out except for school or whenever we left the house?” I had nothing else to say and Mom was so stupid comparing me to her dog. “Can you imagine, what do you think? Would you like it?” Mom asked. “Maybe it would have gotten me to act well because I would have been so afraid,” I said. Mom just sighed. “So you think he could just get afraid he won’t pee inside anymore? He’s a dog. He won’t know that.” “But you compared me to him so I am telling you it would have probably got me to behave because I would have been so afraid of getting into trouble I would be afraid to do anything so maybe he will be too afraid to pee in the house which would be a good thing.” Mom went back to work and Kelly said to me “I know how you feel. I deal with it all the time.” She had her hand on me and then she went to her room. “At least he doesn’t pee in your room,” I said after her.
By the time Dad had come home with Mom, Whimper was back in his cage again. He was let outside before dinner and brought back in and Dad wanted him in the cage because he didn’t trust “that animal.” I noticed Dad had never once used his name. It was either “that damn dog” or “that animal” or “that dog.” Kelly and Matthew used his name and I decided I was going to call him Pissy or Whizzer. I liked Pissy better because Whizzer sounded too nice. “Where’s Skippy?” Dad asked. “He took off again,” said Mom. “Why can’t any of you tie him up or keep him inside?” Dad shouted. “We did keep him inside and right when I was coming in, he almost knocked me down,” said Mom. “He was waiting for me to open the door so he could charge outside and he did it too quickly.” “God, he was smart.” Then our phone rang. Dad answered it. “Evans residence. Oh yes he is ours…We live in Meadowcreek not far from where you are.” I bet he was talking to the owners of the female dog. “I have been trying to keep him inside but he keeps running outside whenever he gets the chance. Is your dog in heat? .. I thought so. Yes he is registered. No he has never had puppies. He is very healthy and doesn’t have any problems, I can bring the veterinarian papers to prove it. Yes we’ll be interested, yes… I can always come get him and thanks for calling, uh huh, b’bye.” Dad hung up and then he said, “That was the owner of the dog Skippy had been seeing and she might be pregnant.” “Cool, puppies,” said Matthew. Yes he did come home before Dad even came back. “He is going to be a dad,” I said. “They are going to be selling them when they are big enough,” said Dad. “Their dog is also pure bred like ours and also a Yellow Lab. They agree they will split the cost with us for every puppy they sell. But they don’t know for sure if she is pregnant but they are thinking she could be. It’s too soon to tell.” “That means you get more money,” I said. “You can use it to pay off your fines faster.” “Yes, very exciting but we have to go get him again but we will eat dinner first and then we’ll go.” Pissy was whimpering in his cage. “Can I let him out so he can stretch?” said Mom. “He was just outside.” “No,” said Dad. “I don’t get it, why does he get to be locked in his cage and I was never kept outside or locked in my own bedroom all the time,” I said to Dad. “You’re not a dog,” he said. “But Mom compared me to him.” “How?” I told him what happened while he was at work about him peeing on my door and Mom comparing me to him peeing in the house vs the stuff I have done when I was little. “You had him out of his cage?” he shouted at Mom. “I cleaned it up,” she said. “I don’t want this house smelling like dog urine.” “There is something wrong with him because he never goes outside and he goes right away when he gets inside so he doesn’t want to go outside, he wants to keep peeing in my bedroom and if he can’t do it, he goes on my door because he couldn’t do it in my room,” I said. “He isn’t doing it on purpose,” said Mom. “How do you not go inside and pee in my room or on the door on purpose?” I asked. I found that so hard to believe. “He’s just a dumb animal,” said Dad. “Too stupid to know what he is doing.” “Fine, I will keep him in his cage,” said Mom. “Happy?” We started to eat our dinner and Pissy kept whimpering. I mimicked his whimpering. He then started to throw himself against the cage door. Mom got up and put him outside. Then she brought him inside and I asked “Did he go?” “Yes.” “Yey,” I said. “See Natalie I just have to keep doing this and pretty soon he will start going outside,” said Mom. She put him back in the cage and sat down again. Pissy was quiet again. After dinner and chores, Dad said he needed to talk to me so he came in the den. “Did you know your mother was crying today when she called me while I was at work?” he asked. “No,” I said. “You know how much you have hurt her?” “I never cried when kids called me that,” I said. “Mum isn't you. Just because you never cried doesn't mean anyone else won't cry. You really hurt her. I don’t need her calling me at work keeping me from my job just because you call her a derogatory word and I have to calm her down. Jesus Natalie I was in the middle of something when my office phone rang. That is no way to be treating your mother. We don’t allow your sister to use that word and we don’t allow you to use it either. You know she isn’t retarded and I won’t have any of you kids bullying her. Now you treat your mumma with respect or I will take away your Nintendo.” “Fine, I will just tell Mom then about your cheating,” I said. “Oh man. Fine I will take away TV then, no SNICK.” “Okay,” I said. “Good.” I just won’t use that word again for Mom. I will use other words instead like idiot, stupid, dumb, airhead, bubblehead, whenever she acts that way or I could just called her a dumb blonde. Dad left the den and I played Kirby again.
I took a shower later on and did some workouts in my room before playing another videogame and I made sure my door was latched closed. I had to close it several times to get the thing in my doorknob to unstick so it would latch. I couldn’t understand why Pissy picked me as a target because Kelly didn’t even have a door knob on her door anymore and Dad wouldn’t even buy her one. Pissy could easily go in her room. If he had gone in other bedrooms too, then I would know he wasn’t targeting me. While I was playing Super Mario Kart, I couldn’t stop thinking about what Pissy did. I couldn’t believe I was being targeted by an animal or was it a coincidence?

Chapter 17
My punishment was finally over so everything could go back to normal now. No more cutting down on my food or working out a lot at home. My room was free of dog pee. I opened my door to see if there was a wet spot there. There wasn’t. I bet Mom had finally listened because she didn’t want me to call her retarded again. I changed my diaper again and went downstairs. Mom was already up and she was taking down our Christmas tree. I saw she had put all the Christmas stuff on the dining room table. “You’re free to help so it will go quicker,” she said. I had breakfast first and took the ornaments off the tree and put them on the coffee table and on the couch. Then Mom had brought up the boxes and set them down. Skippy was whimpering in the laundry room. Pissy was nowhere to be seen. “Where’s Pissy?” I asked. “His name is Whimper, not Pissy” said Mom. “I call him Pissy because he won’t stop peeing in the house. Until he starts going outside and never in the house, I will call him by his name again.” “His name is Whimper and I don’t want to hear that other name from your mouth.” “Okay, I will call him Whizzer then.” “Natalie, his name is Whimper, not anything else. I don’t want to hear you call him anything else but Whimper.” “Fine. Whimper.” Doesn’t mean I won’t stop calling him Pissy or Pisser. But not Whizzer because it sounds too nice. I just won’t call him that around Mom. “Did he go outside again this morning?” I asked. “No, but I watched him and he peed in the kitchen. See Natalie he isn’t out to get you.” “Maybe it was a coincidence then he picked my room and did it several times in a row,” I said. “He is a male dog so they mark their territories.” “Skippy never did that inside,” I said. “Yes he did until he learned to go outside and then he would pee under our porch so there you go. He marked his territory.” “I am surprised Dad didn’t want to get rid of him if he was peeing in the house also.” “Only for a couple of weeks but we watched him and would give him treats but we don’t have any so it’s hard to potty train Whimper. I am going to get some when we go shopping again.” I was starting to feel better again. Maybe it was just a coincidence and Whimper isn’t going after me. Maybe he just needed treats.
I took Skippy for a walk and he ran pulling the leash out of my hand when I got near the two fences that lead out of the neighborhood. I just let him go. I wasn’t going to go after him because he is too fast. I finished my walk and came home. “Did he take off again?” Mom asked. “Yes,” I said. Whimper was out of his cage again running around. I checked my bedroom again and there were no pee spots. Hooray. Maybe it really was a coincidence. I played video games again and then I looked for food to eat but I couldn’t find anything I wanted. There was no fruit or veggies, no granola bars or pop tarts, we only had boring cereal, frozen meat, cheese, canned foods I didn’t want, Jello and pudding that needed to be made. I even looked in the garage in the freezer and fridge out there and nothing. All I could find was bread and it was just crest. I just a jar of peanut butter from the cupboard and got a butter knife out of the drawer and just ate out of the jar and then I got full quickly. I put the knife in the sink and the peanut butter away. Then I had a glass of water. I decided to look at the nutrition label. 180 calories for two tablespoons. I had no idea how many table spoons I had. 120 came from fat and it had about 35 servings. But since the jar was half empty, I wondered how many it had left. Mom had the trees down already and all the ornaments packed and the tree lights too and all she had left was to put away the Christmas decorations. We still had the outside lights to do. I watched Goldeneye in Mom and Dad’s bedroom again. I saw Whimper at my door again and I caught him peeing. I chased after him and he ran and I chased him down the stairs. “Whoa whoa whoa,” Mom shouted. “He peed on my door again,” I said. “When did you last have him outside?” “Just a few minutes ago.” I kept chasing after Whimper and then I grabbed him and I threw him outside and Whimper flipped himself over and landed on his feet and Mom started yelling at me. “Don’t throw him outside, you be nice to him.” “I will when he stops targeting me,” I yelled back. I closed the door and grabbed a rag and cleaned up the mess at my door. I was fuming again. Mom came up the stairs and saw I was cleaning it up. “Good you got it,” she said. “Don’t forget the floor cleaner.” She left me the stuff and went back down the stairs. I hit my hand on my door out of anger. I finished cleaning up the mess and Mom had brought Pissy back inside. I flipped him off. I hated that animal. Pissy had a look on his face, a weird look and he was looking towards my direction. He was grinning. It was as if he was thinking “I got your momma fooled and who is going to believe you?” Mom set him down again. He just started walking around the kitchen again like an innocent animal. Mom went back to finish packing. Our house was looking normal again. A few people did stop by to check out her artwork and then Mom wouldn’t return back to packing again so the house was disheveled from the boxes and Christmas stuff still being out and then Mom was cooking. I found Pissy again and I picked him up and put him in the cage and closed it. That will take care of my problem. I played video games again and I saw Pissy again so I put him back in his cage and went back to the game. Skippy came home because he was putting his paws on the screen and poking at it. I let him back inside and he walked in. Pissy was out of his cage again. I checked my door and there was another urine spot. I screamed. This time Mom knew what I screamed about because she came with the cleaning stuff again and another rag. This time I looked for Pissy and I picked him up and put my shoes and coat on and left the house. I walked with him in my arms and I left our neighborhood and walked in the field. Then I was in the woods and I spotted an electric fence. I was so mad at him a thought entered my mind about him hitting those wires. I wondered what would happen. Was it turned on? Would it kill him? How much would it hurt? It’s designed to shock large animals but would it kill small animals or even humans? Without thinking, I tossed him at the fence and I heard a loud yelp I have never heard before. He took off running. I was terrified at the sound. What had I just done? I headed back home. Pissy was still running. I wonder what he thinks of me now? I picked him up and I looked at him and I didn’t see any injuries. I wanted to leave him behind but I was worried what Mom would think and she would wonder where he went and what I did with him. What would I tell her? I decided to think he just ran away but then she would wonder how he got out in the front yard. Maybe I can say he ran out of the house when I opened the door but what if she didn’t believe me? I grabbed him again and went back home and I held him tight. When I got home, I put him in the backyard. “Oh there he is, where were you?” Mom asked. “Walking with the new puppy,” I said. “Good, I am so glad you are spending some time with him, I know he has been getting you so upset so I am so happy you are trying to bond with him now,” said Mom. Little did she know I tried to harm him. That was a secret I was going to have to carry. That was a doggy scream I never wanted to hear again. I went upstairs and changed my diaper and went to playing video games again.
Mom later got Dad and brought him home and I did some work outs in my room and my body felt sore. We all went downstairs for dinner and Pissy was in his cage again. Dad started yelling about the house being a mess and Mom said she had been busy putting away Christmas stuff and then customers came by to look at her art work and then she had to cook. Dad also yelled about the floor not being swept and he said the house was smelling like doggy urine and asked if Pissy had been peeing in the house. He didn’t actually call him that, I did. “There is no way I am leaving him in that cage all the time, that is so cruel,” said Mom. “Then watch him then until he is housebroken,” Dad shouted. “I am going to get rid of that animal now.” “No, said Mom as Kelly and Matthew cried “no.” “Then start paying attention to that animal or he is out of here.” “He keeps peeing at my door,” I said. “No wonder this house is smelling like urine, watch him until he is house trained or that animal is gone,” Dad yelled. I really wanted Dad to get rid of him. “Kids, you need to help me take care of him,” said Mom. “I didn’t choose to get that animal,” I said. “Why should I watch him?” “Do you want him to keep peeing at your door?” Dad asked. “No,” I said. “Then you have to do what you have to do.” Pissy started to whimper in his cage and he was trying to break down the door when Mom decided to take him out and she put him outside. I heard rain coming down out there. It was raining pretty normal. Not too hard and not too light. It was also beating on the windows and I could hear it coming in our gutters and water dripping off our house. The light was on on our patio and I could see the rain coming down on the porch. We all went to eating and Pissy stayed outside. Then Mom got out of her chair and brought her inside and she carried him to the laundry room. I just sat in my chair. “Natalie, are you going to finish your supper?” Dad asked. “No,” I said. “Full?” “I am trying to burn my body fat to lose more weight,” I said. “Natalie, you’re very skinny, you don’t need to lose anymore, you’re at your heathy size,” said Dad. I showed him my body fat on my arms and my legs and belly. “That’s muscle and skin,” he said. “The reason why it’s loose is because you lost so much weight.” “How do you know?” I asked. Then I heard Pissy whimpering again in the laundry room. The same sound he made when I squeezed him too hard. “What happened in there?” Dad asked. “I had the water on too warm,” said Mom. “Come here,” Dad told me. I got out of my chair. “Feel this,” he took my hand to his belly and had me pinch it. “Do you feel?” he asked. “That’s body fat. Now feel yours,” and he brought my hand to my tummy and had me pinch my own skin. “Do you feel the difference?” he asked. He took my other hand and had me pinch part of his belly. “Feel the difference? That’s body fat and that’s skin.” “You’re not fat Natalie,” said Kelly. “God. Lose anymore, we won’t be able to see you.” “What?” I asked. “What she means is you will be so thin, it will be hard to see you, it was a joke,” Dad explained. “How can someone be too hard to see when they’re skinny?” I asked. “Natalie, it was a joke,” said Dad. “That was a dumb one then,” I said. “No you take all jokes literal so you think they’re all dumb,” said Kelly. “I understand blonde jokes,” I shot back. “Okay you two, don’t fight,” said Dad. “You are not fat Natalie okay?” “I want these smaller,” I said pointed at my thighs and inner legs. “That’s normal, it’s called a woman’s body.” “But I see the people in magazines having these legs here,” I showed him by pulling on my skin to make my skin tight. “You gotta do some sit ups and squats and crunches,” said Dad. “That will tone them up. You are not going to make them smaller by losing more weight, instead your skin will get looser and looser and your belly will look bigger and bigger and if you lose too much weight, you will start growing more hair and if you run out of body fat to use for energy, you will start burning up muscle and other body tissue and it will damage your body.” Dad went back to eating and Mom came back in the kitchen holding Pissy and she had a towel over him. She put him in Skippy’s cage. “Make sure you wash your hands,” Dad told Dad. Mom washed her hands and then she paused. “I hear a fire truck.” I didn’t hear any sirens. “I don’t hear it,” said Dad. “I hear it too,” said Matthew. He got out of his chair and opened the patio door. “Get back inside,” Dad said. “I hear it,” said Matthew. “It’s getting louder,” said Mom. Skippy who was inside all of a sudden went to the door and Dad ordered Matthew to close it but he took too long and Skippy went outside again and took off. “God damn it, that dog,” Dad yelled. “Matthew close that door now,” Mom ordered. Matthew finally closed it. Dad got out of his chair and went in the laundry room. Then he had his shoes on and he got his coat. “Where are you going Dad?” Matthew asked. “Try and get that dog before coyotes attack him,” Dad replied. “We need to start keeping him in the laundry room if we can’t keep the doors closed,” said Mom. “Good, let’s keep Pissy locked up until he can pee outside since we are going to be doing that with Skippy,” I said. “Natalie,” said Mom. “Pissy, that is a good one,” Dad laughed. “How about Pisser or Squirter?” “His name is Whimper,” said Mom. “I like the other name better,” said Dad. “His name is Whimper, not anything else,” said mom. Then I heard a siren. “I hear it now,” I said. “Me too,” said Kelly. Matthew ran to the front door and we got out of our seats. Matthew opened it and I could hear the siren nearby and then a firetruck came in our neighborhood. It went by our house and we saw where it went. I got curious because I knew it meant there must be a fire in our neighborhood. I got my shoes and put them on and got my coat and went outside. By then it wasn’t raining anymore. Kelly came out too with her stuff on and then Matthew came out. “Kids, where are you going?” Dad called after us. “To see what’s going on,” I shouted. I noticed some neighbors had came out of their homes too. I kept running where the truck went and I turned a couple blocks and I followed where kids were going. “Do you know what the hell is going on?” Bobbi Manette asked me. “No,” I said. I kept walking trying to see which house the firetruck went too. I followed where there was a crowd and noticed a smell. I smelled smoke. I saw the firetruck and there were fire men and they were setting up the hose already and I saw some of them at the fire hydrant. I got closer and there were neighbors nearby and I saw smoke rising from one of the houses and I saw flames. I saw fire on the second floor and fire burning out of the two windows and around it. I could feel the heat when I got close to it. I stayed on the sidewalk but I had to back away because of the heat. “Whoa,” said Matthew behind me. “What happened?” I asked the neighbors. “I called 911 when I saw the smoke,” said Veronica’s mother. “Natalie, I think your doggy ran inside,” Scott told me. I gave him a dirty look and didn’t believe him. “Natalie, your dog really ran inside, I saw it,” Scott said again. “Yeah I heard you,” I said. “Now pipe down will ya.” “But don’t you care about your dog?” he asked. I walked away to get away from his nonsense. I looked at the house again and felt sorry for those people. I didn’t know the people who lived there nor did I knew their names. They didn’t have kids I don’t think. I felt sorry for whoever lived next door. Veronica’s mother was standing with our other neighbors talking and I overheard what people were saying. The people in that house had been out of town for the week. Someone threw a cigarette butt in their front yard, there was a bad wiring in the house, some papers must have fallen onto the baseboard and they didn’t have it shut off. I didn’t know what to believe and I started to ask around why the house was on fire and when it started. “I don’t know,” said Veronica’s mother. “I was just coming home and I saw the smoke as I was driving by so I rushed home and called 911.” The firemen had the hose ready and they rushed up to the house with it. I saw a police car parked on the side of the street and the officer had everyone backing up. He also told me to back up and told me where to stand. We were all forced to stand across the street and away from the house and stand two houses away from the fire. There was another fire truck and a bunch of firemen. “There is no one home,” one of the neighbors told the cop. “They have been gone all week.” I also saw Michael Scott’s mother and I saw the Bobbi Manette with her siblings and there was Kelly with her friend Mackenzie. I also saw Ellie and James and they were looking at the house. “I am having you two watch this house burn as a lesson,” said Veronica’s mother. “Why?” James asked. “So you understand fire safety and take it more seriously. This is what happens.” I asked the officer why we all had to stay back and he said there could be something in house that could explode and the windows could blow out and glass would shatter and it’s for all our safety to stay back. I looked at the house again and there was smoke and fire rising from the roof and I could see the flames in the second story. Then I saw them spraying water at the house. “Whoa,” kids were saying. “I wish I had a video of this,” said Bobby to one of his brothers. I started to feel excited and I was hoping around to let out the energy. “What are you doing?” Richard asked. “God what a retard,” said his friend. I kept watching the fire being put out and then we all heard a loud sound from the house from the roof collapsing. People gasped. I just stood there frozen all shocked. That poor house. I couldn’t imagine it being ours. Then I saw the ladder being raised from the firetruck and the other fireman had a hose with him and he also sprayed the top of the roof. I walked around staying behind the barrier the firemen had placed to keep people back and other cars. I then saw Dad. “This is pretty terrible isn’t it?” he asked me. “Where’s Mom?” I asked. “Home. She didn’t want to come.” Why?” “I don’t know. She is at home cleaning to make me happy. You really need to do your chores, Mum is very busy so you must help her out and I can’t be coming home to a messy house.” The firemen kept putting out the fire and the house looked too badly damaged for it to be fixed up. The whole top floor was destroyed and the roof and I wondered if the lower floor had caved in too from the roof when it fell into the second story. Then we saw Skippy and he was running towards us. He was all dirty and he smelled like smoke. “Told you your dog was in the fire,” said Scott. “And you didn’t even care” “How did you get in that house?” Dad asked. He grabbed his collar. “Sir you have to take your dog to the emergency vet,” the officer told us. “He looks fine,” said Dad. “He could have smoke in his lunges.” “We’ll keep an eye on him and see how he is doing,” said Dad. He left with Skippy holding onto his collar. “There was a cat in that house and they both ran out,” I overheard. “I saw that dog go inside,” I overheard Scott saying. I wondered how he even got inside if the doors and windows were closed. I then saw another neighbor holding a cat and I looked at it and he was also covered in smoke and looked terrible. The cat was licking itself. “I am going to take him to the vet,” said the lady and she left with him. I kept watching the house and the fire was dimmer and it was mostly smoke. I wondered how the people were going to react when they get home and see their house had been burnt. I got bored of watching and went home. There were no pee spots next to my door. I could hear Dad in the bathroom yelling at Skippy and giving him a bath. I noticed Mom wasn't home. I got my pajamas on and did the computer. I read ABDL stuff and read the Bravenet board. I read stories I saw posted there and soon Kelly and Matthew were home and I had to get out of the ABDL websites for in case Kelly came in our room. When she came in her bedroom, I said “This is retarded Mom isn’t home,” I said to earn money. Kelly didn’t even hand me a dollar so I said, “I said retarded so do I get a dollar?” I asked. Kelly looked at her change and said she only had quarters so she gave me four of them. “But you have paper bills,” I said. “None of them are ones, I only have fives and twenties,” she said. “Plus do you have any change you can give me if I gave you a five?” I had the quarters right next to the keyboard and I did a shockwave puzzle and after I was done putting it together, I turned her computer off and Kelly said “Don’t forget your quarters.” I got them and put them in my purse. I went downstairs and found Pissy in his cage. I pounded my hands on it and started to jostle the cage around. “Whimper’s in there,” said Matthew who was watching TV. “I know, I’m just playing with him,” I said. I kicked at the cage and kept pounding my fists until Matthew told me to stop because the sound was bothering him. Mom then came home with groceries and asked us kids to help her unload the car. Matthew and I helped and after everything was brought in, I went back to playing video games while Mom put the food away.
I got up the next day. My door was pee spot free because Dad was home so Pissy was kept in his cage. Dad called him little twerp when he came inside and Mom corrected him saying his name is Whimper. “I will call him anything I want,” said Dad. “He is a twerp. Look what he does?” “Skippy peed in the house too when he was a pup,” said Mom. “He didn’t come inside and pee after being outside,” said Dad. “He didn’t chew up newspapers or anything else, we had doggy toys for him,” said Dad. “Then he needs toys then,” said Mom. “I want that little thing kept in the cage,” said Dad. I imagined Pissy being in that house fire and dying from the flames. I felt pleasure from him being burned to death. I also imagined throwing him in the fire but I remembered that sound yesterday and how scary it was. “Dad, can we spend our Christmas money today?” Matthew asked. “Will you pay for gas?” Dad asked.” “Glen,” said Mom. “I have all these fines I gotta pay,” said Dad. “You made your mistake so don’t make the rest of us suffer because of your poor choice,” said Mom. “If you hadn’t taken away my beer.” “If you weren’t a big lush, I wouldn’t have had to do it.” “Yeah in my home country everyone would be an alcoholic but drink the same amount here as you would there, you would be considered an alcoholic but not over there,” said Dad. I started to jostle the cage again and trying to make it tip but Mom told me to be careful and he is in there and to not move the cage. “Has Skippy been outside yet?’ Dad asked. “Natalie will you let him out please but put a leash on him and go outside with him,” said Mom. “He is in the laundry room where he belongs now.” I got a doggy leash and put it on Skippy and went out the door. I held on tight to the leash and Skippy was walking around. He went potty and then he pooped. I took him back inside and put my shoes and coat away and hung the leash up. Dad looked at him again and said “He looks good so he doesn’t need a vet. He must not have been in the fire that long and he was just too close to it.” I had breakfast and then Dad told me he was taking us all to Fred Meyer. “What for?” I asked. “Do you want to spend your money you got for Christmas?” “Yes,” I said. “Then get dressed.” I ran upstairs and I got undressed and changed my diaper and put on an outfit. I put on black pants with snaps on the side and I put on a t shirt with a Beetle Bug and I put on a long sleeve blue shirt that zipped up in the middle. I kept my socks on and grabbed my purse. I closed my door and pushed on it to ensure it was closed. It opened so I closed it hard and pushed on the door again and it didn’t budge. Good, it latched. I went downstairs and got my shoes on again and headed out to the mini van. I waited and waited but everyone was taking too long so I got out and went back in the house to see what was going on. “What is taking so long?” I asked Dad “what?” he asked. “I’m ready to go,” I said. “We’re not leaving this instant, we are leaving whenever everyone else is ready. We have all day.” “Can we go to the mall instead?” I asked. “You going to pay for gas?” I took it as a no. I didn’t want to use my money for gas, I wanted to spend it on presents. I felt so disappointed we were not leaving and now I was going to have to wait. Pissy was out of his cage and Mom was holding him. I decided to check out the burnt home so I headed outside again. Dad came out after me. “Where are you going?” “To check out the burned house,” I said. “Since you are going, would you mind walking Skippy?” I went back inside and got the leash and put Skippy on it and took him outside. We walked to the house again and I walked on the property. The house was in horrible shape. The whole upstairs had been burned out and the roof was gone and the house was still standing but the upstairs was all hollow. The bricks still stood like it hadn’t been burned but the windows had been blown out and I could see the smoke residue on the neighbor’s house. Their whole side was all black from the smoke and the windows there had also blown out from the heat and now they had boards over them. I felt sorry for those neighbors but at least they can replace their windows and fix their siding. I could still smell the smoke. I peeked inside and I could still see the sheetrock and the flooring and the furniture but it was all black too. I could see the staircase and it also had been burned and the banister still stood but it was also burnt. I tried to open the front door but I heard a sharp voice “Hey!” I looked and it was the next door neighbor, an older guy. “Get off that property,” he ordered. “Why? The house is burnt,” I said. “It is still someone’s property, you are breaking an entry.” “I just want to see the house ‘cause I’m curious.” “I don’t care, get off their property, they still own the house and the yard.” I got off their stoop and walked away from the house. I will just have to come back when he is gone or wait until the middle of the night. I did my walk and then headed home and Mom was dressed and working in the living room again. I asked Kelly and Matthew when we were leaving. “I would rather go to the mall but our stupid father is making us spend our money if we want to go somewhere,” said Kelly. I asked Matthew if he wanted to go spend his Christmas money and he said he did. I saw he was already dressed and he was playing in his messy bedroom. He was sitting at his desk holding one of his small toy figures and he had matches with him. He lit one of them and lit the candle he had in front of him and then he put his small toy over the flame. “What are you doing?” I asked. “I don’t want this toy anymore so I am seeing what is inside it and I want to see how it looks melted,” he replied. I left and Dad asked me what my brother was up to. “Melting one of his toys,” I said. “How?” “With a candle.” “Matthew?” Dad called. He rushed past me and up the stairs and he went in his room. “What are you doing, that can burn the whole place down,” he scolded. “You shouldn’t be playing with matches. Give me these….you saw the house fire, are you trying to make one? We’ll lose all our stuff and you wouldn’t have anything to play with or have any of your clothes.” Dad came back down and he threw the toy in the sink and put the matches away and left the candle on the kitchen counter. I looked at the melted toy and only his head was gone. Pissy wasn’t in his cage again. I looked in the living room and saw him in there. He was just walking around. I played Kirby again and my favorite ability was fireworks. I used it to kill off every enemy I see and I used it on bosses too. I still needed a few shards to collect but couldn’t find them.
Finally Kelly called my name and said Dad was taking us to Fred Meyer and she said she was going to use her check she got for her birthday and the gift card Mom got her for her birthday and maybe some of her Christmas money. I paused the game and got my purse again and put my shoes on and coat and we all headed to the car and Mom drove to the bank first so Kelly could cash her check. Dad went in with her and we waited in the car and then they came back out and Kelly had her ten dollars. Then we headed to Fred Meyer. The first thing I went to was the electronics when we got there. I looked at the video games and I wanted 102 Dalmatians for my Game Boy Color. I had been wanting to play it so I had to get the employee to unlock the case for me. I looked at the Nintendo 64 games but I wanted to go to Game Crazy or any other gaming store the mall has. I went to the checkout and told the guy behind it I wanted to buy a video game. “Okay I will get someone to unlock it for you,” he said. I went back to the case and waited and a few minutes later another store employee came and unlocked it and I took the game out and went to the counter and paid for it. I gave them a twenty and a ten and got a penny back. I opened it and looked at the instructions and put the wrapper in my coat pocket. I looked at the game cartridge too and I also took it out and sniffed it. It smelled like a brand new game. I couldn’t wait to get home to play it. I then walked around the store. I walked by the clothes and shoes and I found the toy aisle and looked there and I saw Matthew with Mom. He decided on some K’nex so he picked up a set. I found some crazy keychains and looked at those I would find at Spencers. I looked at the baby toys ones and board games ones and there was even a mini Play Doh set. I wondered if I should get it and I looked at the price. I was so tempted to opened them and stuff them all in my pockets but I didn’t want to get caught and go to jail. I still felt that compulsion to just do it. I was worried if I stayed any longer, I would take it like I did with Pissy when I had the compulsion to throw him on the fence. I ran off and checked my pockets and they were bare of any items but the wrapper from my game. Then I had a fantasy in my head of winning the Rugrats in Paris sweepstakes so I decided to get one of the Rugrats toys for the stamp. I already had two. I went back to the toy section and looked at the toys. I got the cheapest toy and the stamp was printed on the box. Then I went to the food section of the store and started looking for participate food products that also had the stamp. I picked out Mott’s apple sauce and I paid for both items. Then I was ready to go. I walked around looking for Dad and Kelly and Matthew. I soon found them and Matthew as with Dad and he was holding a toy in his hand. “I’m ready to go,” I said. “Your brother isn’t so you have to wait,” said Dad. I looked at what Matthew was holding it was some science kit. Then he looked at the other toys. I was bored so I was starting to feel anxious. I walked around in circles while Matthew kept looking. Then I started to tell Matthew to hurry up so I can get home to play my new game. “Natalie,” said Dad. “I’m bored,” I said. But I got more and more anxious to a point I was feeling overwhelmed with these feelings from being bored. I started to whine and cry and act up and Dad getting mad at me. Then I decided to rip open my toy and dad scolded me again. “I’m bored so I am going to play with it to pass time and look at it more,” I yelled. “Oh man,” he said. I looked at my plushies and I was still bored so I thought about ripping open another toy just to play with it. I grabbed a Barbie set off the shelf and started to rip the box open. “Natalie, stop it right now,” Dad scolded. “I’m ready to go,” I cried. “I can’t stand this anymore.” “You have to learn to wait, there are other people out there besides you.” He grabbed the set from me and told me if I rip open any toys, I am paying for all of them with my money. Then I started pulling at my hair and hitting my head to stop the pain I was feeling. I wanted it to end so I was crying and screaming and finally Dad told me to pay for my stuff and leave. They will pick me up on the way home. I got my Rugrats plushies and grabbed my Mott’s applesauce and started to leave the aisle but Dad told me “don’t forget this” holding the Barbie set. “I don’t want it,” I said. “Natalia, you opened it, you pay for it or otherwise the store is losing money.” I took it from him and great more money wasted. I walked to the front of the store and left the Barbie set on a table that was for sale and kept on walking to the checkout. I felt calmer because I was leaving so those bad feelings were gone. I paid for my things and left and I threw the box away but kept the part where it had the stamp. I started to walk home. I carried my video game in the bag too and I walked through the parking lot. I turned onto the sidewalk and kept walking and I walked through town. While I was walking on the side of the road between town and our neighborhood, I heard a car horn and I looked up and I saw our mini van. Mom was waving at me and she pulled to the side of the road. I looked both ways making sure no cars were coming. One zoomed past me and I ran across the road and got in the van. Mom turned back onto the road again after I closed the door and sat. When we got home, I got my Rugrats passport and I got a pair of scissors and some glue and glued my stamp to my passport and I also opened the Motts and started to cut out the stamp from the cardboard and I glued that to my passport and then I got an empty envelope and looked at the address inside the passport to mail it too and wrote it on the envelope. “What are you doing?” Dad asked. “Entering a contest. If I win, we go to Paris and I get $50,000,” I replied. “You’re not going to win Natalie but it’s your money.” I got the stamps where we always kept them and I put it on the corner of the envelope and I got my shoes back on again and went to the mailbox to mail it. Now I had my new game to try out.

Chapter 18
I came home and took off my shoes and set them in the laundry room against the wall. I went back in the den to continue my game. “Natalie, where is your Barbie toy?” Dad asked. “At Fred Meyer,” I said. “I told you to pay for it,” Dad scolded. “I didn’t want it.” Dad sighed and left the room. I won. Then I heard Mom and Dad talking in the family room. They were arguing again about me. I overheard Mom saying it was just one toy and the store isn’t going to lose much money and they would just tape it shut and sell it at a lower price. She won too because Dad still didn’t take my Christmas money. I played games all day lone and I made sure Pissy was locked in his cage and I would put him in there every time I saw him out. Dad made some dinner and I only had a few pieces of French fries and one hamburger. Then I had one scoop of ice cream for dessert and that was my meal. Then I did some sit ups while watching TV to try and flatten my stomach and making it smaller. When 7:30 came, I took my shower and I made it quick so I could watch SNICK. I got a clean diaper on and got my jamese on and brushed my hair and went back in the den and I waited for The Amanda Show to start. I watched it and then the next show was a show I wasn’t interested in so I went back to playing video games again. I kept track of the time on the clock and waited until it was close to nine. Then I watched Caitlin’s Way and All That and SNICK ended. Pissy was still in his cage and I got tired and went to bed and it was 11:37 when I last saw the time.
I got up the next day and it was the last day of the year 2000. My diaper was soaking wet so I changed it and put on a fresh diaper and tossed the plastic pants aside because they got wet from the pee. I was low on diapers so I had a few more left and then I would have to wear cloth. Those are my emergency diapers and I keep the pins in my jewelry box. I also got dressed and went downstairs for breakfast. Pissy was in his cage still. I had a small bowl of cereal with non fat milk and I put it in the sink when I was done and Skippy was whimpering to go outside. I put Pissy outside first and then I put the leash on Skippy and got my shoes on and took him outside. It was wet out. I walked Skippy in the backyard and he lifted his leg in the flowers and peed. Pissy was walking around in the yard. I brought Skippy back inside and left Pissy out there. “You forgot Whimper,” said Matthew. “I know,” I said. “I meant to leave him out there.” “That’s not nice.” “I don’t want him peeing by my door again.” I watched TV while playing 102 Dalmatians. I would write down my password on a piece of paper every time I completed a level in case the battery ran out or if I had to quit playing for some reason. “Hey, who left Whimper outside?” Mom asked. “Natalie did,” said Matthew. “Tattle tale,” I said. Mom got her shoes on and went outside. Then she brought him in and into the laundry room and I heard the water running. Then I heard the loud whimpering again and Mom saying “sorry I didn’t mean to make it so hot.” Secretly I wished that would happen more often. It made me feel happier inside and less angry. I imagined myself putting him under the sink faucet with very hot water and listening to him whimper very loudly. That would be his punishment every time he pees at my door or wreck any of my things. Then Mom brought him out and she put him down. I saw him wander around the kitchen and living room and then he went down the hallway and into the living room. I kept playing my game and then I beat it. I kept watching TV and then I heard Kelly saying she was going to her friend’s house and left. I then needed a new diaper so I went upstairs to change before I could play my Nintendo 64. I went up to my room and found another pee spot and I kicked my bedroom door and screamed “fuck. Where is that stupid dog?” “Natalie,” Mom scolded. “He peed at my door again, he is after me, I knew it. I want to get rid of him too,” I yelled. I went looking for Pissy and I found in the living room. “Hey don’t you dare touch him,” Mom shouted. I marched after him and Pissy ran and Mom grabbed me but I pushed her off and I heard her pushing herself into her own easel. “What is going on?” Dad called. I ran after Pissy and he was in the dining room and chased him in there and he ran and Dad was standing by the kitchen door and Pissy ran under him and I ran by him. “Natalie pushed me,” Mom said. “Natalie stop,” Matthew called. I chased Pissy into the family room and he ran in his cage. I closed the door and I started kicking at it. “Natalie stop,” said Matthew. He got in my way and hugged the cage while Mom and Dad came in the room. “That dog needs to go, he is causing chaos,” said Dad. “No it’s Natalie that is doing the chaos,” said Mom. “She started running after him and she pushed me into my painting I was working on and I got paint on me.” “Mom, where did you go?” I asked. “I’m still here,” she said. “No you’re not because you are against me my real mom wouldn’t act this way and that dog is evil and has something wrong with him.” “And I wonder why this dog was up for auction and why he had been through so many homes?” Dad was raising his eye brows and moving them up and down while looking at Mom. “I am not getting rid of him,” said Mom. “He keeps peeing in the house and I want him out before I start going insane again,” Dad ordered. I kept kicking at the cage and Matthew grabbed me but I pushed him out of the way. “Hey don’t push your brother and stop kicking the cage or you will break it,” said Dad. He grabbed me and I stopped beating on the cage. “I want to kill him,” I said. “I will throw him off the deck hoping to crush his skull.” “Natalie no you don’t want to do that,” said Dad. “That’s would be illegal.” “And do you know what would happen if you did that?” Mom asked. “You’d go to jail for animal cruelty.” Oh come on would they really send a 15 year old to jail for killing an evil dog? “There was a kid in Montana who got taken from his family for putting a firework in his dog’s mouth and lighting it off,” said Mom. “Who took him?” I asked. “The police and he was put in juvi hall. The same will happen to you too if you killed that dog,” said Dad. Yikes, I didn’t want to be taken away. There would be no more video games for me and watching All That and the Amanda Show and I wouldn’t be able to see the new episodes of Rugrats with Kimi in it. I wouldn’t be able to sleep in my room anymore or wear my clothes or even see the outside world. I don’t want to spend the rest of my childhood in juvi hall. I Imagined myself being locked up in juvi hall and it was just a room with a door with a lock and a bed and table and no toys and I would be so bored. There would still be school since they have school there so minors still get their education and I would have to miss Christmas and Easter and my birthday. I also couldn’t imagine going there in diapers. I wondered what they did with criminals who are incontinent. Hopefully they will let them have diapers. “Why did the kid put fireworks in the dog’s mouth?” I asked. “Mean,” said Mom. “When did it happen?” “Couple days ago.” “How old was he?” “Kelly’s age.” I pictured a 13 year old kid putting a firework in a dog’s mouth and lighting it and right away he was arrested and taken away and brought to Juvi hall since kids can’t go to jail. “What kind of dog was it?” Matthew asked. “Just a pitbull.” “A pitbull? That kid was a hero then, all those breeds should be put down and be outlawed like they are back in the UK,” said Dad. “Now Glen, you just said animal cruelty is wrong,” said Mom. “But not for Pitbulls, I couldn’t careless what is done to them.” “Why?” I asked. “Pitbulls are dangerous dogs, they have attacked children and killed people so that is why my country had outlawed them. They are not allowed in the country, ever and any Pitbull they find gets destroyed.” “But Whimper is not dangerous so therefore Natalie must not be cruel to the pup,” said Mom. “Besides animal cruelty is against the law so that kid did deserve to be punished. Animal cruelty is never justified. If an animal is dangerous, you call animal control.” “Natalie just like your mother said, don’t kill the little squitter because he ain’t the right breed,” said Dad. “His name is Whimper,” Mom said. “God you both are insane here, none of you don’t like him so you are refusing to use his name.” “Yes that’s right, I don’t like that little animal so I just see him as that dog and shit for brains,” said Dad. “And I call him Pissy because I have no respect for him,” I said. “He lost it the moment he peed in my room more than once and targeted my things.” I couldn’t understand why Dad hated Pitbulls just because some of them have killed people and any dog can kill someone and it would be so stupid to hate all dogs or their breed. “Come on you two,” said Mom. “Keep that dog out of my sight or else,” I said. I walked away and went up to my room to change my diaper. I wiped up the pee spot using dirty clothes from the bathroom and I changed and threw my diaper away in my pail. Then I went and played Nintendo 64. For the rest of the day I never saw Pissy out if his cage again and only time I ever saw him out was when he was outside. Kelly had been gone all day and Mom made dinner and we ate and I made sure I didn’t eat too much so I could lose weight by giving myself less calories. “Natalie did you eat enough?” Dad asked. “Yes,” I lied. “Okay, if you get hungry again, you can finish your plate. Put plastic over it and we keep it in the drawer right by the stove.” I got out of my chair and got the roll of plastic out of the drawer and ripped some of it off and put it over my plate and Dad told me to put it in the fridge for later. Pissy whimpered in his cage and Skippy just rested on the living room floor.
After everyone was done eating, Mom and Dad cleaned the kitchen and I played more video games and I was down to my last diaper. I told Mom again about me being out of diapers now and she told me I have my cloth ones for back up. “I hope I get more before school because I am not going to school in cloth,” I said. “Okay, I will call my mother,” said Mom. I played video games and then I showered and brushed my hair and I changed into a cloth diaper and plastic pants. They felt so bulky but also soft. We stayed up late and Kelly never came home. We all knew she was with her friends. Matthew and I were watching the New Year’s Eve party on Nickelodeon and they were playing TV shows. When it got closer to midnight, Mom carried in some party stuff and Dad had Sparkling cider in his hands. He took out wine glasses and opened the bottle and poured it in each cup and I had some and so did Matthew. Matthew picked up one of the streamer things you pull and a bunch of them fly out and dad told me he had to wait until the new year. Pissy was still in his cage so Mom took him out and held him and she also put him outside and then kept holding him. I kept watching Nickelodeon while I played 102 Dalmatians again. My diaper got wet again so I had to change it and then came back before the new year came. When it got closer and closer to midnight, the countdown was starting to begin on Nick. After a show ended, there was the countdown and everyone was getting ready including the All That actors and other people in the audience. Then finally everyone started counting down on TV and Matthew joined in and then everyone shouted “Happy New Year” and then there were fireworks and people cheering and stuff flying around and Matthew pulled on the string and a bunch of streamers came out and I tried it but felt too nervous because I was afraid of the sound, what if it was going to be loud? Dad helped me and paper flew out of it. Then he started to sing the Auld Lane Syne song but he didn’t know all the lyrics so he stopped singing it. Then we saw fireworks going off outside from the other street so we went out on the back deck and watched them. “It’s the real Millennium now,” I said. “Yeah you’re right,” said Mom. “That means you are almost sixteen now, oh my that is another month away,” said Dad. We stayed up until around two and Kelly did come after midnight and she told us how they had bought fireworks and lit them off at Mackenzie’s house. I changed my diaper again before going to bed because it was wet and I didn’t want to go to bed with a wet bottom and wake up with a rash, I also started the wash so the diapers would be ready to dry.

Chapter 19
I woke up with another wet bottom and I changed and put a dry one on and put the wet ones in the laundry room and I put my clean ones from the washing machine to the dryer and put my wet one in the washing machine and turned it on. Today didn’t feel any different and it all felt the same as it did yesterday, it was just a new month. Dad was off work today because the building was closed due to the holiday. I walked Skippy again and I walked by the burnt house and I walked up to it again and peeked inside and the whole entire downstairs had been caved in and there was wood all over and other junk from the home and the walls were dark from the smoke and I saw their stuff inside like furniture. All the windows had been blown out and the houses next door had some smoke damage too. I also looked in the backyard and the houses behind it were okay because they were far away enough from the heat. Then I got yelled at again by the same neighbor. “You again, this is private property,” he bellowed. “What do you think you’re doing? Didn’t I tell you before to stay off this property?” This time I yelled back at him because he was such a bitch. “I am looking to see the damage and what the house looks like and see if any of the other homes were damaged. Oh by the way I like your house now. It looks so much better with all that smoke damage.” I walked away with Skippy feeling happy with my response. I hoped Skippy would poop in his yard but he didn’t need to go and I thought about what I can do to the guy’s yard without causing any damage. I wouldn’t want to get in trouble again by my parents. Maybe I can throw trash in the yard and do it in the middle of the night. I came home and took the leash off Skippy and hung it up and I put more cat food in the cat bowls for Mittens and Princess. Skippy doesn’t eat their food. He will if he is hungry and we forgot to feed him. Pissy was in his age again and I was feeling so much happier. I no longer felt like killing him but I still imagined throwing him in the creek and having him drown to make it look like an accident. It would be in the middle of nowhere and no one would see me do it. But what I was afraid about was what if someone saw me doing it and reported me, then I would go to juvi hall. I played more video games again and I was enjoying the Kirby levels and the new music when Dad told me Brian was on the phone. I paused the game and went in the kitchen and got the phone from Dad. “Hello?” “Happy New Year,” said Brian. “You didn’t even spend it with us,” I said. “I know, we went to a party instead with some of our friends but guess what, I have a Christmas present coming for you guys and I will bring it to you when it comes.” “What is it?” I asked. “Well I was stupid because I was in a hurry and I wasn’t paying attention so I put in the wrong bid, now it’s going to cost me several of my paychecks but I am going to pay it all back.” “What is it?” I asked again. “Oh you will see, it’s a surprise. It should be here sometime this week.” Man I wished he kept his mouth shut because not I am going to have to wait wondering what this present is. “But don’t tell Matthew,” said Brian. “He is so lucky.” “Why?” “He doesn’t need to wait days to get the present wondering what it’s going to be. I wish you didn’t tell me about it.” “You can handle it and I know you won’t tell him.” “Why did I need to know this?” “Because I know you can handle it. So how was your New Year’s?” “We watched Nickelodeon and Kelly went to a friend’s house and we watched fireworks from our house. Why do you have to wait for our present to come before you can give it to us?” “Because this was on Ebay.” I have heard of that website a few times. It’s where you bid and pay the amount you put down if you win. I always picture the ocean and the beach and boats and seals and whales and the smell of the sea and the sand and all the rocks and the waves because of e bay. “Put Kelly on now,” said Brian. I put the phone down and shouted for Kelly. “Kelly? Kelly?” I shouted. I found her in her room and I said “Brian is on the phone and he wants to talk to you.” “Okay.” I went back to my game and kept playing. Soon Kelly came in and said, “Do you know about the surprise?” “Yes.” “And he said to not tell our brother?” “Yes,” I said again. “At least we’re going to get a real present. I hope next Christmas will be better.” “I wonder what my birthday will be like?” “You might get money again or gift cards if Mom decides she doesn’t want to be the gift disaster again.” “I’m cool with that,” I said. “You’re so weird.” I just laughed. Being weird was cool. At my school, everyone is weird so I’m normal now and it’s normal to be weird. I didn’t care about my family being weird anymore either. Normal got so boring all of a sudden. I could now tell Kelly to quit being so boring and be different. As Grandma Del has always told me, life would be boring if no one was different and she thinks being normal is boring. When she was raising my mother, she was always bored with other mothers because all their kids were normies and it was so boring. Even other kids were boring when she was growing up and she only liked weird kids. All they wanted to talk about was boring stuff and talk nonsense and talk about things they were not interested in and it was so boring. But weird kids were not boring because they didn’t do that stuff normie kids did. All they wanted to do was stand around and talk and do nothing and she asked me why would I want to do that to myself, don’t push it and just be me. Don’t be boring. Now I was starting to take that advice and accept it. I think I just needed my new school to make me realize. Now next time I see her, I will tell her how right she was and being normal is boring and no wonder I always found chit chat boring and why kids my age got boring so I started going for younger kids and now I have other kids who are different so I don’t need little kids anymore. Kelly left and I kept on playing. This was my favorite Kirby game. I soon had to change my diaper again so I paused the game and I caught Pissy out of his cage so I grabbed him and put him back in his cage. I changed and put my diapers in the washing machine and got my other clean diapers out of the dryer and put them in my room again tossing them on the floor. I played video games for the rest of the day and I forgot to have lunch but at least that was less calories for me and that would help me lose some weight. I caught Pissy out of his cage again and I put him in the cage again and pounded on it. I also pushed it around and pushed it over with him in it and kicked at it. Then I tipped it upside down and then on the back. “Natalia,” Mom yelled at me. I stopped. “He doesn’t seem to mind,” I said. “He isn’t reacting, see?” “You stop being mean to Whimper,” she scolded. “I will when he stops pissing in the house,” I said. “Or keep him locked up until he stops peeing inside and I will leave him alone.” “Oh Natalie,” said Mom. That made me thinking of Suzie saying “Oh Oskar,” in Hey Arnold. Dad came downstairs from upstairs and asked what happened. “Natalie was pushing and kicking Skippy’s cage around with Whimper in it,” said Mom. “Why?” Dad asked me. “I don’t want him out and I want him to stay locked up so he won’t pee inside,” I replied. “He peed in the house again?” Dad yelled. “No,” I said. “I don’t want that damn dog running around,” Dad shouted. “If I see that dog out again or find out he has been out, I will get rid of him” “I still want to kill him,” I said. “Just stop you two, if you are both so worried about him peeing in the house, then why don’t you two help train him?” Mom suggested. “How the hell am I going to do that when I am at work?” Dad yelled. “You’re home now so you can do it,” said Mom. “What? I don’t want to take care of this dog, I didn’t even ask for a new dog in the first place,” Dad shouted. “You’re the one complaining about all the accidents,” said Mom. I went back to the cage and stuck my tongue out at Pissy and gave him the finger while Mom and Dad fought again. I went back to playing and Dad made some dinner while Mom worked and then Dad ordered us to do some chores and told me to sweep the floor and told Kelly to do some laundry. “What about Matthew?” Kelly asked. “He can take his own clothes upstairs and put them away,” said Dad. I got all the floors swept and Dad made me do some dishes. “Natalie, please get your diapers out of the washing machine,” said Kelly. “Why? Just put them in the dryer,” I said. “Ew I am not touching those, they’re yours, you put them in there.” “They’re washed.” “They still smell, I am not touching those, Dad?” “Natalie please get them out of the machine and put them in the dryer,” said Dad. “They’re yours.” I got them out of the washing machine and stuck them in the dryer and turned them on while Kelly came in and started to sort the linen she brought down from the upstairs bathroom. “Lazy dumb blonde,” I said to her. Kelly threw some dirty clothes at me hitting me in the head with them. I threw the back at her and Dad scolded both of us. “Hey, stop,” he said. “She was bothering me,” said Kelly. “She was being a dumb blonde, couldn’t even do her chore so she had to make me do it,” I said. “Natalie, stop,” said Dad. “Now I want you to clean all the toilets and the bathroom sinks including our bathroom.” I got a sponge and some cleanser and I cleaned the sink downstairs first and I used the toilet scrubber and cleaned the toilet and it looked clean to me so I went upstairs. I cleaned the two sinks in the kids bathroom and the toilet in here too and then I went in Mom and Dad’s bathroom and cleaned those too.
After I did all the chores Dad told me to do, dinner was already ready and I was exhausted form cleaning. I ate and took my shower and changed into a fresh diaper and went back to playing again. Mom had Pissy out of the cage again but she was holding him this time petting him.
I woke up in the middle of the night with a sound in my room. I looked around in my room and I saw Pissy snooping around in my room sniffing. He looked at me and said “Hello Natalie.” “You talked?” I asked. I was shocked he could talk like a human. I had never seen it before ever except for on TV. “Of course I can talk and I am just looking for a spot to mark,” he said. “Why? I don’t want you peeing in my room, why can’t you do it outside?” I asked. “Natalie, are you dense?” he asked. “I am not ordinary dog, my job is to come to peoples houses, terrorize someone and take over their mommy and poof.” “What is that supposed to mean?” “Remember juvenile hall? That is where you will go when you lose it.” “Why can’t you be a good dog?” I asked. “Natalie, you have me figured out and it’s too bad no one will believe you and you know what, you’re very lucky. Cause you know why? I would have gotten rid of you if everyone knew who I really am but because no one believes you, I won’t do anything to you. Your Mom will.” Then he lifted his leg and started peeing right away on my chair. “Ah that’s better,” he sighed. Then Princess walked in my bedroom and Pissy looked at her and growled and Princess took off running. “I rule this house now,” he told me. “And your mother is all mine she is starting to abandon you now. Pretty soon she will always be against you and won’t stand up for you anymore and protect you.” “Why me?” I asked. “Because you’re the perfect target for me. So vulnerable, so innocent, so weak, so different, and your mommy is perfect for all this too to turn against you. Too bad she is too stupid to see who I am and if you tell anyone about me right now, no one will believe you, they will just think you are crazy and you will go into an asylum if you kill me instead of going to juvi hall, wouldn’t that be lucky?” he started laughing and he was grinning. “Hehe hehe hehe,” he was saying. He was grinning as he was laughing. I was so scared, Pissy was really an evil dog and not a normal dog. Pissy lifted his leg again and peed again at my pile of clothes and then he peed at my bookcase and peed at my dresser. I chased after him again and Mom and Dad came in my room and Pissy was back to his “normal” self. They turned on the light and saw all the pee spots on the floor. I saw Pissy looking at Dad and I saw something shooting out of his eyes and they hit Dad and he acted different this time. “Natalie, what is going on here?” Mom asked. “He peed all over my bedroom,” I cried looking at the wet spots. “He is only a puppy,” said Dad. “Dad, what happened to you? This always upsets you,” I said. “I know but he is a puppy after all and we will clean this all up in the morning, how did you get out of your cage?” he said picking him up. Dad left with him. I started crying about all the pee spots in my room Pissy did. “Oh stop crying like a two year old and go to sleep,” said Mom. I grabbed her and started shaking her, “Come back Mom,” I yelled. Mom got some weird look on her face and her eyes were wide but it was like a weird look she had on her face when I grabbed her and was shaking her to try and bring her back and to knock that spell out of her Pissy gave her. I had to get rid of that dog.
Day time came and I got to clean up all the pee spots and I got Pissy and took him with me. I had him on the leash and I left the neighborhood with him. I took him into the forest and to the creek. He was acting like a innocent puppy again but I knew he still had that evil inside him and I wondered why he wouldn’t talk to me again this time. I went on the small narrow wooden bridge and I looked around to be sure no one was watching. I picked Pissy up and tossed him over the railing and he landed in the creek below me. He started to swim hard trying to get to shore but the current took him away. I watched him go down the river and I dusted my hands and went home. I was so happy to take care of my problem. I arrived home and took my shoes off and I felt so happy again and my normal self again. It was all over, Pissy was gone and I got away with it. I will just say he ran away. I went in the den to play video games again when I saw Pissy sitting in front of the TV set and my gaming system. “Did you think you can get rid of me?” he asked. “How did you get back?” I asked. “You can’t get rid of me,” he laughed. “I keep coming back. You’re very lucky because you can’t go to juvi hall for this because you can’t get rid of me, hehe he he.” Then Mom came in the room and Pissy was back to being his “normal” self again. He was chasing himself in a circle playing with his tail. “Good I see you are learning to play nice with him and learn to get along,” said Mom. She closed the door and Pissy stopped chasing his tail. “Man I hate it when I have to do that, listen here, this is my family now, you’re nothing, you’re second place now and pretty soon Mom and Dad will get rid of you and it will be the mental hospital for you for the crazies. If you keep messing with me, I will make things worse around here for you.” He looked towards the TV and I noticed one of the Nintendo 64 controller wires was snapped in half. I screamed and started crying. Mom came rushing in. “Stop crying like a big baby right now,” she yelled. “Look what he did,” I cried looking at my controller. “He is just a puppy, just being big baby or go to your room.” Mom picked Pissy up and held him and she left the room and Pissy did that evil grin again. He also gave me the finger.
Later in the day I was walking Skippy and a bunch of little kids started to pick on me. They rode their bikes around me and splashed mud at me and kicked dirt at me. I had never seen those kids and there I saw my mother walking doing a little jog. “Mom,” I called. Mom just kept running. “Mom, Mom, Mom,” I shouted. “Help me.” Little kids just ignored me and kept kicking me and hitting me with their bikes. I fought my way out of the circle and ran over to Mom and grabbed her. “Those kids are picking on me, stop them.” Mom had that weird look on her face again as I squeezed her wrists. Her eyes were wide and it was like her look had changed. She just stared at me like she didn’t know what was going on so I shook her to get her attention. She didn’t respond or react and she let me shake her for some reason while the kid kept throwing dirt at me. Then I was on the ground and I started kicking one of them who was also laying on the ground with me. I kicked harder and harder and then I saw my bedroom wall and my own bed and there was still that kid in bed with me so I kicked very hard and then I realized it was only Princess so I stopped kicking her. She was purring very loudly looking at me. I was so happy this was all a dream. I turned on my lamp and there were no pee spots in my room. I really hated that dog and now he was making me have nightmares about him tormenting me and my own mother not caring about me anymore.
