"I can't imagine being non verbal. That would be a lot harder and I wouldn't be able to tell people what I want or ask for directions and it would be a pain to have to write down everything I say. I see the frustration in my son because he is non verbal so he can't tell us things and it's always the guessing game we have to play and I try and have him just show us and I still have to guess. He says a very few words and that's it."

"I don't wear make up, I am not into fashion, I wear what I feel comfortable in. I wear clothes that are meant for females. I don't do my hair. I like to keep it cut short above my shoulders and I am thinking about dying it. I mostly wear pants or shorts and a shirt. I do wear dresses sometimes or skirts and I have some different shoes like most women. Am I girly girl? I dunno. I was a tomboy as a kid according to my mother even though I still wore girl clothes and played with girl stuff and I used to play with make up and did dress up and I had a girl's room. I remember I hated dresses only because it restricted what I could do on the playground. I also like video games."

"Both my parents know. They are both fine with it. At first they weren't because my dad thought he failed as a parent and my mom thought I got influenced by the stuff I saw online when I discovered it. Maybe I did get influenced. They did nothing wrong to cause it, it was the diapers that did. I don't do it in front of them."

"I don't know how many times I have pooped in my diaper while working. Odor remove pills help because then I don't have to worry about anyone smelling it and I always wore a thick diaper. Either a Abena or a Bambino. Right now I am between jobs."

"I started talking at 3 but I reached all my milestones but I walked a little late according to my parents but today it would be considered normal since I hear kids are talking laterer these days and some kids are just late walkers. I am not diagnosed with HFA but my mom is. She was first diagnosed with AS when I was 17 and then a year later another doctor diagnosed her with HFA because of her history. She talked way late and had low understandings and she was mistaken as for being retarded and she also had IQ tests done and she scored low on those and she read late too. I have been given a different label too and it was PDD-NOS. But my mom comes off as slow and people also thought she was retarded or stupid."

"I am fine with my name but my NT sister is also named Kelly and she hated the name Kel. She also hated our surname too because it was a common name and she was looking forward to changing it so when she got married, her husband's last name is also common so surprise surprise, her problem didn't really go away. But my husband's surname isn't a common name and I took his surname when we married. I don't mind it. But my husband likes the sound of my real name better so he calls me by my real name instead of by my nickname. He thinks my nickname is too common because he has heard that name too much in his life and on TV but he hasn't heard my real name often. It does make me feel like a different person. With my nickname it was pronounced two different ways by people. Besides with my real name, it would get misread as my nickname because of one letter difference at the end."

"I've wanted some since I was four but when I got pregnant, I didn't even want any right now because I wasn't even ready. I probably should have given him up for an adoption but then I wouldn't have him right now and we would have been separated across the world. I don't even want more kids even if it means not being a real grandmother. I don't want to have another kid with autism and what if he is violent this time. I am lucky my son isn't and he only gets that way sometimes when overloaded or upset or when I stop him from doing things like climbing on a shelf and he has gotten too heavy for me to carry or drag around even though he is skinny. I also have to keep things locked away so he can't get into them and make a mess with it or ruin them and he still doesn't sleep through the night but he is getting better and I have to still sleep with him when he gets up. We do keep extra locks on our doors so he can't get out, we refuse to take chances because he has gotten out before and was gone for a few days one time and we had to call the police. He also has an autism bracelet too with his name and address and number on it. Even I get overwhelmed as a parent so I decided I am not having more kids. My son is enough and I would be too old to have more when he gets easier I hope. I don't know how other moms do it or my grandmother.
Oh yeah my son was unplanned because I was stupid. I used birth control but we didn't use a condom and I missed a day of the pill or took them at different times each night so it might have made it ineffective. I thought it was a rare case I had. So double protection is good and I wish someone had told me this when I was young. I knew then you could get pregnant from sex so I used protection. It wasn't rocket science. No I have not gotten fixed but we use a condom and I have a hard time taking medicine at the right times every day so I don't use birth control. momsparky is right, birth control has to be used perfectly for it to be affective but I don't think lot of women are good at it like I am. I was also on other medication so maybe it made it ineffective too."

"I wet myself without a diaper on when I role play potty training and after a certain amount of accidents, my daddy puts me back in diapers and says I am not ready and we'll try again another time. I also pee during sex and have peed on my husband and we have a bed pad under us and then we shower to wash it off. he doesn't mind a little golden shower. Do I really like it? Not really but it's more fun when we're role playing. I prefer to wet my diaper than pants, same for messing. I have messed myself without one on too.

This is how I feel too about mine. I feel clean when I wear a diaper and wet them instead of my clothes or mess them. Sure the smell still gets in my clothes but I wash them and they smell fresh again."

"Interesting. I wonder how that can be worn under clothes and if it even feels comfortable. I have tried catheters before an I didn't like them and I didn't see the point if I still had to wear diapers for my bowel IC and I have zero control over it. If I am lucky, I can just push it out to make it go quicker but I have no way of holding it in. I think catheters are good for when you are airing out and you can just put on a diaper and pee through the tube so your bottom stays dry."

I've had accidents during the day and night and I can't wait to get out of my clothes when it happens, it feels so dirty and it ruins my clean clothes.
I don't have a problem wearing a wet diaper for a while, it keeps everything nice and clean and I feel clean even when wet.
